Let’s Pray for Connection

Dear Father,

I pray you will guide my eyes to the connection that matters. Father, there are so many distractions. So many connections that tug at my heart causing my thoughts to sway from what matters above all else.

Lord, I pray you will guard my ears from hearing, my eyes from seeing, my thoughts from wandering, my heart from desiring, and (quite frankly) my American blood from boiling. How easy it is to seek connection to that which is familiar, safe, expected, “normal”…

Yet, Lord, you have provided connections that set a safe guard around all of me, inside and out. Connection to You above all else. Lord Jesus, thank you for this sweet and powerful connection! Thank you for salvation! Thank you for prayer! How greatly I cling to our conversations day by day, moment by moment.

Father God, build connections within our lives that lead to Truth. How hard this is, for what is truth? Lord, we know YOU are TRUTH, but in the world around us truth is uncertain. I pray you will stir within our hearts when true facts are presented before us. Cause us to walk away from falsehoods. Lead us in the way of right thinking and set our feet on your solid foundation. Discernment, Lord! For this I pray!!

Holy Spirit, weave us within a tapestry of family focused beauty! That our ears, eyes, thoughts and steps will be encompassed by a great cloud of witnesses. That we will be filled with words of encouragement and strength founded upon Jesus Christ! That we will be surety for one another. And that through our connection to you and to one another we may share Truth to the hungry world around us.

Connect us, Sweet Savior, within the safety of Your love.

Amen

Prayer for Churches

Lord God,

Father, I pray for churches this morning. I pray for the people that gather together within these buildings. I pray for the men who open your Word week after week. I pray for those who lead worship. I pray for those who love on and care for the babies, the children, and the teens. I pray for hands that clean. For feet that lead. For hearts that pour out. For the ones that pray. For the shoulders that carry the tears that are shed. I pray for the Women who love one another. For the men who hold each other in accountability. For The church that opens its doors for us to gather and Unite and love and live and serve and Worship and grow and stand. Oh, I pray for our churches!

Father, I pray for churches in light of lockdowns. God, this is gross and an abuse of power. Lord, I pray for confident wisdom for these preachers as they make the decision to stand on Biblical truth and American freedom. I pray for the staff of elders and deacons to uphold Scripture as they support and defend the choice to stand, to remain open, to proclaim Scripture, to live in the land of the free and in the home of the brave.

Father, I feel like I’m proclaiming my personal conviction in this prayer, and perhaps I am. But I pray you will take my prayer of personal conviction and pour it out upon the church that is in need of confirmation or encouragement or boldness or strength or comfort.

Lord, we are not called to sit. We are called to serve, to shine your Light in a darkened world. And when our world is setting a precident of fear and separation and silence and darkness and compliance, ugh, my whole heart hurts.

Father God, equip your saints for such a time as this. 2020 was confusing and odd. 2021 is going to prove to be a battle. I firmly believe this. In this, I pray that you will speak with each of your called pastors and leaders and teachers and men and women and youth and churches (your body of Christ) and prepare each and every one of us to know fully where we stand as Christians in today’s world. Tell us what is required of us that we may be ambassadors of the Kingdom of God to the dark world around us.

Lord, I pray these things in the leading of the Holy Spirit.

I pray these words will be cast before Your Throne.

I pray You will hear and respond according to Your will and in Your way.

I pray our hearts and ears will be open to Your leading.

I pray we will all walk in accordance to Your direction.

I pray we will not judge one another for our various actions and convictions.

Rather, I pray we will uphold and support one another knowing that our cities and our audiences and our impact vary.

I pray above all else that the name of Jesus Christ will shine brighter and farther than any of our words or actions or convictions ever could.

All these things are prayed in the sweet name of Jesus,

Forever and always Amen & Amen!

Prayer for Salvation

Lord God,

How marvelous are the works of Your hand. How lovingly You hold us in the same mighty hand that moves mountains, that silences strongholds, that comforts the broken hearted. Oh, Father, how marvelous You are!

Lord, may I sit before Your Throne, gathered together with my prayer warriors, in request for truth? Lord, You are Truth. Your words are truth. Your very presence as the Great I AM is truth. Father God, will You reveal Your truth today?

Lord, may it seem right in Your eyes to use our lips to proclaim Your truth. Will You fill us with the abundance of Your greatness? Will your words of power and of love and of truth spill upon all whose ears are open? Will You use us this very day to proclaim the evidence of Jesus, the risen Son of God?

Oh, that our world needs to hear!

Jesus, Your love for our eternal soul sets You apart from all others. You showed us the depth of Your love for us in a way that has never been seen before or duplicated. Your love is beyond belief. Yet, belief is all you ask for in return.

I pray for those who have placed their faith in your death on the cross.

Father, I pray they, Your children, will stand on their faith in You. I pray they will find victory in who they are, for they are Yours! I pray for their eyes to be set on You, their heart to be full of you, their soul to be overcome by you, and that they will proclaim the everlasting steadfast love of Jesus Christ! Father, strengthen your sweet child this very moment. In the name of Jesus I pray this for my brothers and my sisters in Christ.

I pray for those who are searching for truth.

Oh, that they will connect truth with You! That they will see Your word as undeniable. That there is concrete evidence of God’s love for mankind. Demonstrated by Christ in the flesh. Alive in those who believe by the filling of Your Spirit. You are Truth. And You are trustworthy. In a day when truth is debatable and faulty and unknown, You are trustworthy.

God, I pray salvation (belief in Jesus) in the heart of the one reading this prayer right now. Speak truth to their heart right now. I pray they hear the truth of Jesus’ love, that they will believe in the name of Jesus Christ, and that -in their belief in Your evidential truth- they will be set free. Free from doubt and fear and uncertainty.

Marvelous. Yes, how deeply marvelous are your ways.

Amen & Amen
