When Things Seem Too Big

Dear Father,

Things seem too big for me. Selah.

I let that truth slip from my lips. My words want to quickly run circles around my vulnerability, yet my heart longs for the confidence you promise as I trust and obey the thing you have called and equipped me to do for you. Trusting you with my words, I sit quiet, contemplative, eager to hear your voice.

Let Your strength to be seen in my weakness.

Let Your wisdom bind itself upon my heart.

Let Your comfort hold me in the midst of today’s step.

Let Your Truth shine it’s light brightly over my vulnerable truth.

Yes, I wait upon you, Lord, for all the above. Selah.

Father God, my eyes see the next step ahead of me – although I cannot behold the full path that awaits my steady stride. Help me to step in the fullness of your light and guide me in the surety of your Way. Thank you for allowing me to see the ground beneath my foot that I may not slip or stumble upon the Rock.

For I know that I stand upon a sure Foundation.

I stand upon the Cornerstone of all things under heaven.

I stand upon the Rock that cannot be shaken -not even by the gates of hell.

I stand upon you, Jesus Christ, the very Eternal, Ever-faithful Son of God!

Yes, I trust you, Lord, for every step before me. Selah.

Sweet Father, thank you for being alive! For having ears to heart my words. For having eyes to see my heart, my path, my weakness, my strength, my struggle and my smile. Oh, how you know me throughly! Oh, how you love me and trust me to do your will in my life today!

May I love you and trust You to do your will in my life Today!

Selah

Finally, brothers,

whatever is true,

whatever is honorable,

whatever is just,

whatever is pure,

whatever is lovely,

whatever is commendable,

if there is any excellence,

if there is anything worthy of praise,

think about these things.

What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me

– practice these things,

and the the God of peace will be with you!

-Philippians 4:8-9

Paul from prison when things were seemingly too big for him.

A Prayer for Strength

Lord, I Come to You for Love

Rise Above the Fog

Dear Father, May I?

Dear Father, may I seek your face this very moment.

May I boldly approach your throne. Cast down, knees bent. Prostrate before you now.

Not my will, Sweet Father, not my own.

May I whisper a name, a prayer upon my heart. May I call out a situation, a pressed moment in time. Written out, laid down. Open before you now.

Not my words, Sweet Father, not my own.

Jesus, you walked before me. Jesus, you set the course. Our Father who art in Heaven, proclaimed from your voice. Heard by your Father. Connected Three in One.

Sweet Jesus, cause me to follow.

You sought God’s face before the crowds. You cried to God in the quiet of the night. High or low, for you or for others. Conversation with God sat ready upon your tongue.

Sweet Jesus, allow me to follow.

As a friend, a wife, a mom. As a writer and for those with whom I serve. As a daughter, a loved one, Yours. Boldly, I have entrance because of Jesus who bled and rose again.

Thank you, Oh Jesus, I thank you.

Who am I to deserve such access? I am chosen. I am forgiven. I am clothed in Righteousness. You first loved me; therefore, I have access always to your throne.

Bless your name, Oh my God, bless Your Holy Name!

Who You Are ~ a proclamation to God

Who You Are ~ a proclamation to God

God, I am overcome with Who You Are. You are God. To truly think about who you are causes my heart to swell, my mind to swirl, and my tears to spill forth. For you are God.

God, you are the only God with a mouth that speaks life into existence. You have been faithfully speaking life from the moment you spoke light into the vast void of nothingness.

Today, You are still speaking life into existence. Father, this moment you are speaking life to the unborn. You are speaking life to lost souls. You are speaking life to religion bound hearts. You are speaking life to the brokenhearted. You are speaking life to creation. You are speaking life upon the hearts of missionaries, pastors, teachers, song writers, authors, speakers, parents and upon the mouth of babes. God, you are speaking life, eternally.

In all your speaking, you listen.

There are moments where I cannot comprehend your choice to claim Fatherhood upon all to whom you speak life.

God, Father God, I am a recipient of your choice.

You, Father God, created this concept of Family. Speaking life into individual lives, you then knit hearts together with a connective love that withstands the exhaustion of satan and flesh and the world that surrounds us.

Father, our hearts are full! Filled with your voice of life and your gift of love.

Thank you, God, for Who You Are.

You are God.

You are God who speaks life.

You are God who listens to us.

You are God who sees us.

You are God whose hand holds us.

You are God who walks with us.

You are God who chooses to be our Father.

You are God who forever and always loves us.

You are God.

You are loved by us.

Oh, how YOU are loved!
