When Things Seem Too Big

Dear Father,

Things seem too big for me. Selah.

I let that truth slip from my lips. My words want to quickly run circles around my vulnerability, yet my heart longs for the confidence you promise as I trust and obey the thing you have called and equipped me to do for you. Trusting you with my words, I sit quiet, contemplative, eager to hear your voice.

Let Your strength to be seen in my weakness.

Let Your wisdom bind itself upon my heart.

Let Your comfort hold me in the midst of today’s step.

Let Your Truth shine it’s light brightly over my vulnerable truth.

Yes, I wait upon you, Lord, for all the above. Selah.

Father God, my eyes see the next step ahead of me – although I cannot behold the full path that awaits my steady stride. Help me to step in the fullness of your light and guide me in the surety of your Way. Thank you for allowing me to see the ground beneath my foot that I may not slip or stumble upon the Rock.

For I know that I stand upon a sure Foundation.

I stand upon the Cornerstone of all things under heaven.

I stand upon the Rock that cannot be shaken -not even by the gates of hell.

I stand upon you, Jesus Christ, the very Eternal, Ever-faithful Son of God!

Yes, I trust you, Lord, for every step before me. Selah.

Sweet Father, thank you for being alive! For having ears to heart my words. For having eyes to see my heart, my path, my weakness, my strength, my struggle and my smile. Oh, how you know me throughly! Oh, how you love me and trust me to do your will in my life today!

May I love you and trust You to do your will in my life Today!

Selah

Finally, brothers,

whatever is true,

whatever is honorable,

whatever is just,

whatever is pure,

whatever is lovely,

whatever is commendable,

if there is any excellence,

if there is anything worthy of praise,

think about these things.

What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me

– practice these things,

and the the God of peace will be with you!

A Prayer for Strength

Sweet Heavenly Father,

Lord, I am on my knees seeking strength from you. I seek not just for myself but for so many friends etched on my heart, for those across our nation, and for Yours around Your beautifully created world.

Father, many of us are tired.

We are drained of our physical strength due to health and due to the fight that is happening, visible and invisible. We stand armed in your strength, then we fall before You weak and in need of Your strength yet again. Thank you for faithfully filling us when we need it. Thank you for holding us when we need that rest. Thank you for understanding our flesh and for giving us Your Spirit.

How spoiled we are by Your love!

Lord God, may I ask for Your Word to be imprinted on our minds right now. Lord, that the Truth, the Life, the Way that each of us need right now in our individual path will be imprinted on our minds. Father, that we will see, that we will hear, that we will breathe in the Word you speak over us right now.

Selah.

Wherever she may be, I pray your daughter will find rest and healing and strength in You and in Your grounded and most faithful Truth this very moment.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our Risen Savior, I pray these things over myself and over the sweet friend that is praying with me through these simple words.

Pour over us Your love, Your presence, Your strength!

1 John 4:8 slips so sweetly into my mind and causes my heart to skip a beat. Thank you, Lord God, for the concrete truth of Your love!

God, in light of 1 John 4:8, I do pray for the person that does not know Your love. I pray the knowledge of who You are will resonate within her. I pray she will grasp the love in which you freely gift her through the life and death of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

I pray her eyes will be opened to the power of Jesus Christ. That she will know and that she will believe that Jesus died on the cross for her sins, that He was buried in the grave, and that Jesus Christ rose again on the third day just as it was proclaimed in Scripture.

Father, I pray salvation upon her heart as she believes in Your Son and as she proclaims with her mouth that You alone are God, the very God who loves her so personally, so faithfully.

Friend, if you are hearing about Jesus for the first time today will you join me here. I would love to hear from you. ❤️

Let’s Pray for Structure

Good morning Lord God,

How I smile here in your presence.

Such quiet to my soul.

I breathe in your peace.

I breathe out your song of victory.

Selah.

Lord, my prayer this morning, this day, is for the structure you are building upon the foundation of Jesus Christ. Lord, I am a part of that structure. Therefore, Lord God, I pray for me. Father, help me to stand. Help me not to me moved or shaken or weakened by the weight I fain to carry. Remind me of my position as a part of your structure and remind me of all you need/want/desire/plan for me to do -nothing more.

Lord, I pray for those with whom I stand among. The walls, if you will, of this structure. Lord, there is strength in number. May we, as your structure, see your strength among and within us. I pray the same words I prayed for me above upon each individual member of your structure. I pray these words of surety and contentment in who they are -where they are/as they are. Lord, this is my prayer!

Selah

Quiet my soul.

I stand upon the Rock.

I sit in your arms.

Selah.

Jesus, May we set our feet on your sure foundation. May we remember who we are and why we are building.

Lord, that one more soul may know your love for them.

Always, this is the truth.

Forever, Jesus is the answer.

Selah.

Father, my heart desires to spill out so much more. Thankfully your heart knows my thought-prayers and I know you are holding them. May I simply conclude by thanking you for using us as your house?! Help us to be loving and inviting and real and true. Help us to be us as we are clothed in your Righteousness. Help us to breathe in your peace, to breathe out your song of victory. Help us to remain on the Rock, to rest in your arms. Remind us always and forever that Jesus is our reason and our answer.

Lord Jesus, together, as your structure, we declare our admiration and love.

Xoxo
