Let’s Pray for Structure

Good morning Lord God,

How I smile here in your presence.

Such quiet to my soul.

I breathe in your peace.

I breathe out your song of victory.

Selah.

Lord, my prayer this morning, this day, is for the structure you are building upon the foundation of Jesus Christ. Lord, I am a part of that structure. Therefore, Lord God, I pray for me. Father, help me to stand. Help me not to me moved or shaken or weakened by the weight I fain to carry. Remind me of my position as a part of your structure and remind me of all you need/want/desire/plan for me to do -nothing more.

Lord, I pray for those with whom I stand among. The walls, if you will, of this structure. Lord, there is strength in number. May we, as your structure, see your strength among and within us. I pray the same words I prayed for me above upon each individual member of your structure. I pray these words of surety and contentment in who they are -where they are/as they are. Lord, this is my prayer!

Selah

Quiet my soul.

I stand upon the Rock.

I sit in your arms.

Selah.

Jesus, May we set our feet on your sure foundation. May we remember who we are and why we are building.

Lord, that one more soul may know your love for them.

Always, this is the truth.

Forever, Jesus is the answer.

Selah.

Father, my heart desires to spill out so much more. Thankfully your heart knows my thought-prayers and I know you are holding them. May I simply conclude by thanking you for using us as your house?! Help us to be loving and inviting and real and true. Help us to be us as we are clothed in your Righteousness. Help us to breathe in your peace, to breathe out your song of victory. Help us to remain on the Rock, to rest in your arms. Remind us always and forever that Jesus is our reason and our answer.

Lord Jesus, together, as your structure, we declare our admiration and love.

Xoxo

Prayer for Churches

Lord God,

Father, I pray for churches this morning. I pray for the people that gather together within these buildings. I pray for the men who open your Word week after week. I pray for those who lead worship. I pray for those who love on and care for the babies, the children, and the teens. I pray for hands that clean. For feet that lead. For hearts that pour out. For the ones that pray. For the shoulders that carry the tears that are shed. I pray for the Women who love one another. For the men who hold each other in accountability. For The church that opens its doors for us to gather and Unite and love and live and serve and Worship and grow and stand. Oh, I pray for our churches!

Father, I pray for churches in light of lockdowns. God, this is gross and an abuse of power. Lord, I pray for confident wisdom for these preachers as they make the decision to stand on Biblical truth and American freedom. I pray for the staff of elders and deacons to uphold Scripture as they support and defend the choice to stand, to remain open, to proclaim Scripture, to live in the land of the free and in the home of the brave.

Father, I feel like I’m proclaiming my personal conviction in this prayer, and perhaps I am. But I pray you will take my prayer of personal conviction and pour it out upon the church that is in need of confirmation or encouragement or boldness or strength or comfort.

Lord, we are not called to sit. We are called to serve, to shine your Light in a darkened world. And when our world is setting a precident of fear and separation and silence and darkness and compliance, ugh, my whole heart hurts.

Father God, equip your saints for such a time as this. 2020 was confusing and odd. 2021 is going to prove to be a battle. I firmly believe this. In this, I pray that you will speak with each of your called pastors and leaders and teachers and men and women and youth and churches (your body of Christ) and prepare each and every one of us to know fully where we stand as Christians in today’s world. Tell us what is required of us that we may be ambassadors of the Kingdom of God to the dark world around us.

Lord, I pray these things in the leading of the Holy Spirit.

I pray these words will be cast before Your Throne.

I pray You will hear and respond according to Your will and in Your way.

I pray our hearts and ears will be open to Your leading.

I pray we will all walk in accordance to Your direction.

I pray we will not judge one another for our various actions and convictions.

Rather, I pray we will uphold and support one another knowing that our cities and our audiences and our impact vary.

I pray above all else that the name of Jesus Christ will shine brighter and farther than any of our words or actions or convictions ever could.

All these things are prayed in the sweet name of Jesus,

Forever and always Amen & Amen!
