Let’s Pray for Open Eyes

Lord, You designed truth. You are Truth. In a day where truth is reworked to fit each person in each differing situation, the idea that You are Truth is even more foundationally beautiful!

I pray you will set our eyes on the Rock. I pray you will open our eyes to the Way. I pray you will set our feet on the path that leads to life and life everlasting. Help us to SEE, to fully see, the truth that lays beneath our feet, that goes before us, that encircles all around us, that fills us.

Jesus you are so faithful and true. With all that we are, we say thank you!

Spirit, you are in us, with us, and for us. You breathe truth through us for our own heart to believe and for the open ears of those around us. Thank you!

Father, oh, how we adore you! You gift us with life and with Truth – living Truth! How sweet and loving are your gifts for us! Yes, Father, we adore you!

Lord God, may we lay___________________ at your feet? Father, please open his/her eyes to Truth! Selah.

Will you silence the voices of deceit that are swaying his/her thoughts and actions? Father God, you created us all. In the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, you have offered the free gift of eternal salvation upon all of your most precious creation. Dear Father God, I pray_______________ will receive this free gift so that the chains of lies and deceit will be broken, that his/her eyes will be opened, that truth will become the path on which he/she treads!

Yes, Father, we pray for clarity in our vision of truth. We pray this upon ourselves, our families, our leadership, our government, our president (Selah. Oh, Lord, hear the prayers on our hearts…), our world leaders, and upon the influencers of evil that crave to bring down all of the above.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray for Truth to lead, to prevail and to set the captives free.

Amen & Amen!!

Top Ten of 2020

As a thank you for walking with me in prayer and truth, I have linked my Top Ten posts of 2020. Interesting to see that most are from my Prayer Journal. Is there not much power in prayer?!

Also, scroll down to receive a Free compilation of 30 Prayers of 2020.

1. Prayer for Police Officers

I pray that you will cause a light to shine upon these men and women who dutifully stand for our constitution and for our laws and for our rights and for our safety and freedom and protection and our nation’s purity. Father, our Officers need our prayers and need Your defense.

2. Prayer for America

America is at a crossroads. This is not the first time our nation has seen a divide, nor is it the first time it has seen extreme hardship. Such is life as a nation. History tells us this. But God, history also tells us that prayer can heal a nation. That prayer can rescue a people. And that prayer can cause the enemy to fall at the sound of a trumpet. This is what a nation can see if a nation prays.

3. Prayer for China

Father, we pray salvation in China will become an epidemic as it is in other nations today. Call your creation to you, send your Spirit to turn their eyes to Righteousness, and lead your children to the souls seeking an Answer. Lord, we know You are the answer, for You were and are the Answer for each of us.

4. Prayer for Lives

Lord, may I pray for the foundation of a movement that is steering the heart of a united people down the path of division and frustration and pain? I pray, Lord, for Alicia Garza, Patrisse Khan-Cullors and Opal Tometi. I pray for their hearts to be changed to the goodness of The God Almighty. Open their eyes to the evidence of Your Control. God, I pray these three women will acknowledge that Jesus is Lord of all.

5. Prayer for Pastors

The realities of 2020 are hard on all of us. But they are weighing heavily on our pastors and their wives. God, in our heaviness, we rely on these leaders to fill us with truth and promise from the Word. We trust them with our prayer requests. We lean on them as our Pastor. As we should, for you called them to do just that.

6. Prayer for School

Be with schools this fall. Protect hearts, give attention to ears, guard minds, and fill our children with wisdom, your wisdom. That promised wisdom from above given to all who ask as stated in James. Lord, I pray not these words for my son alone, but for the children in his school, for the children of my friends, and for the children who desire to learn and attain true academic knowledge.

7. Today’s Prayer List

Good morning Father, You are good. What more can I say? To sit in Your presence, to breathe in Your peace, to breathe out Your sustenance, to walk by Your side, to hold Your hand… oh, Father, you are good. Lord, there are prayer requests falling at your feet from all around this world. I pray You will hear our prayers today.

*Sister, pray with me…

8. Green Pen and a Credit Card

My grandma read her Bible. She Read her Bible. Cover to cover every year of my life. It lay open on her glass coffee table. A green pen and a credit card lay beside it. Yes, a credit card. Every morning she brewed her pot of deep, black coffee and sat on her floral couch in a beautiful polyester summer dress that tied perfectly below her bosom.

9. When You Don’t Know What to Pray

May I pray your daughter will give herself grace to sit in this moment of sorrow. Allow her the time and freedom to cry in your arms. Lord Jesus, I pray you will hold her hand, help her stand when her strength returns within her soul and step ever so sweetly beside her as the days begin to brighten.

10. Prayer for Our Thoughts

Oh, Lord God, Where does one go with one’s thoughts. This is my question. Why are we prone to assume that our thoughts are evil and sin-filled and self-condemning? This also is my question. Personally these two questions scream within me. Daily I ponder my thoughts. Daily I sit on guard of myself, working diligently in controlling my thoughts. Fighting, as with a Sword, the cruelty that resides within my inner self-condemnation, within my thoughts.

Enjoy a compilation of 30 prayers that were posted throughout 2020. Let’s continue to pray together as we enter a New Year. Much love, Jaclyn

Cast Your Words

Because Jesus

May we celebrate what we have because Jesus.

Because Jesus came we have a choice. No longer confined to the life choices circling us every day. We are offered a choice that settles and calms and rationalizes and comforts and guides and secures all other choices.

Because Jesus came we have life. No longer continuing down the side roads of uncertainty. We are accompanied by a Best Friend down a straight path in which He guides our feet and sets our eyes.

Because Jesus we are free. No longer bound by the various chains of sin and doubt. We are free! Free to life everlasting! Free to Live in the fullness of love and grace day by day! Free to laugh, to absorb the good around us and walk away from the weight that brings us down. We are free to speak the Name above all names. We are free to stand. We are free to proclaim Truth. We are free to share the Way.

We are free to Live Because Jesus!

Lord God,

Oh, how we thank you for You! Thank you for the gifts you so freely and graciously give us. For the gift of salvation, the gift of baptism, the gift of the Spirit, the gift of His fruits, the gift of marriage, the gift of friends, the gift of family, the gift of being a member of the very Body of Christ.

Lord, you have given us so much!

Father, I pray for these gifts that are set before us. Lord, if one of these gifts are sitting before us, yet we have yet to receive it or open it or declare it or use it or enjoy it… Oh, Father, open our eyes today!

I pray, if it be the gifts of salvation or baptism, my friend will give to you their acceptance of your gift this Christmas season. I pray they will choose to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior. I pray they will choose to follow you and identify with you in baptism.

I pray that we will determine today to walk in the Spirit. May we relish in His fruit. Not in that we are fake with putting on the image of patience and love and joy, but that we are real in the image of God in us. Help us to understand the presence of the Holy Spirit and how beautifully and powerfully real He is in us!

I pray for the gifts of marriage and of friends and of family. Father God, this differs for each us. Father, hear our cries, tears, prayers, desires, smiles and praises! Hold our hearts in these areas of life. Give us the daily bread we need per “these gifts” and help us to enjoy the day at hand.

And I thank you for allowing us to be a part of the Body of Christ! Lord, how deeply unique we all are. Yet, in your Name we are knit together as intricately as the human body. Each of us so vital, so valued, so loved and so called by You!

I can hardly comprehend your Gifts to us! Selah

Because Jesus is in my heart, my hands are open wide to receive the gifts of today! I lay it, all of it, before you. May my gift be a smile on your heart.

Jesus, I love you!
