Father God,

Our nation’s officers are under attack from coast to coast. The depth of this reality is silencing within my American core. Selah.

Holy God, the designer and orchestrator of mankind, I pray that you will cause a light to shine upon these men and women who dutifully stand for our constitution and for our laws and for our rights and for our safety and freedom and protection and our nation’s purity. Father, our Officers need our prayers and need Your defense.

As the benefactor of their service, I kneel only before Your Throne. In this posture, I thank you for their heart of service. I thank you for their individual call to serve. I thank you for their love for our country. And I thank you for their faithfulness to work day in and day out.

I cannot begin to imagine the emotions surging through their bodies and their families as each new day presses against them in today’s divisive society. I respect their freedom to choose whether they continue to work or choose to step down. Father, I cannot bear the pressure they may feel as they face their tomorrow.

I cry for their injustice. I ache for their disrespect. I fear for their lives. Father too many have died in the wake of this nation’s animosity toward them. Some are presently fighting for their lives. Some are beginning a new path of existence as they heal from their wounds. Many of them standing beside their professional family wondering what’s next.

Lord God of Heaven, I pray silence to fall upon the Defund the Police movement. Lay your right hand upon their intentions and their desires. Stop this dysfunction in its tracks today. Lord God, we pray as a nation that not one harmful deed will fall upon our police officers.

I love our nation’s law enforcement. I stand for our dedicated police officers. And I pray, dear Father, protection around these brave patriot’s future as our law-abiding officers.

Above all else, Jesus, we pray that Your Name will fall upon our nation. City by city. Town by town. Street upon street. Jesus Christ, you alone brings peace and love and goodness. You alone replace darkness with Light. You alone bring salvation to each of our souls. Save, we pray, the souls of our nation.
