Prayer for Innocence (Girls)

Lord God,

I love you. Since I was a little girl meeting You for the first time, I love You. I am so thankful to have grown up in Your arms, in Your love. I know my life is colored by its stories, but through it all, You, my Jesus, were always there filling my head with knowledge, my heart with scripture, and my soul with strength. You lead me day by day into the woman I am today. You turned my colorful story into a light that shines Your presence and Your power and Your truth.

You, my Lord Jesus, I love so truly for You first loved me.

Father God, there is a war against the innocence of little girls going on throughout our society. This war is not new. Sadly, this is an age old scheme of the devil. One that is tried time and again. One that wages war within grown women to this day. This war is nothing but evil, disgustingly evil. I pray destruction upon the head of this war. Father God, You declared that he will nip at Your heal, but You WILL crush his head. Oh God, I pray Your hand will crush his head in this war against our young girls.

Bring a protection around each of our daughters, our granddaughters, our sisters, our neighbors, our child’s friends and classmates, the little girls across the street, around the corner, across town, around the world. Selah

Cause men and women to stand up for the protection of innocence. Do not allow us to continue in complacency or in ostrich like behavior. Open our eyes to their hurt, open our ears to their cry, lead our hands and feet to their aid, to their protection. Open our lips to pour forth the sweet name of Jesus Christ upon them. Direct our intentions as proactive shields of protection.

Lord, You are ever faithful in loving each of Your precious children. I can testify.

It is so easy for me to spit out names and functions, agendas and programs, individuals and parties that are advocating for the destruction of innocence upon our girls. Lord, it is too easy… But God I pray You will keep my prayers set to the core of the war. Destroy, I pray, the root of this evil. Silence the lies. Close the ears of the foolish from even hearing his lies. Shine Your radiant light upon the darkness about him. Let the world see how ugly he is. How destructive he is. Oh, Lord, defeat this war with the sound of truth, purity and victory!

I pray these things in unity with prayer warriors far and wide. Hear our voices and pour out our united prayers upon our little girls both near and far.

Jesus, I love you. Thank you for Your fervent love!

God Answers Prayers

Father God, our days are so new and unknown

Father God, I love you and I thank you for being my God. How spoiled I am to talk to you right now and to know that you are hearing my words, listening to my prayer and holding my heart.

I could write a book of words before you and you would sit with interest the whole time. I could pour a bucket of tears before you and you would treasure each drop, storing them in a bottle. I could sit with you not uttering a single syllable and you, O my God, would understand the depth of my silence.

Father God, I do love you and thank you for being my God.

May I enter your presence hand in hand with my sisters?

May we gather our words, tears and silence and cast them before You?

Will you hold us?

Father God, our days are weird. Each day feels so new, unknown, and unsettled. Our emotions are rollercoastering (for sure my word) with each new announcement, closure, statistic, and regulation.

Lord, we are so accustomed to doing life together and now we are advised to separate ourselves from each other. This is the reality that crushes my heart the most. I think of the women I engage with every Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and for spontaneous coffee dates throughout each week.

I think of the prayer requests that are shared and prayed over while we are united together. I think of the tears that are held. I think of the laughter that spreads. I think of the rejuvenating breath that occurs for women as they pause in one another’s presence. I think of the joy that spills from Your Scripture and the giggles that erupt from inevitable rabbit trails.

Father God, you gifted us with girlfriends and sisters in Christ. Being socially separated from each other is going to open doors for discouragement, defeat, and depression. Oh God, I pray You will shut those doors! Lord, that they will not even crack open. I pray Your mighty hand will separate Your daughters from any tactic of the devil. Fight for each of Your daughters during these days.

Lord, You promise that Your Word will be evident in our hearts and minds.

~ I pray your grace will abound. (2 Corinthians 9:8)

~ I pray your peace will surpass. (Philippians 4:7)

~ I pray your happiness will overcome. (Psalm 144:15)

~ I pray we will not feel alone for You are ever present for you are our God. (Psalm 46:1)

Father God, we love you and we thank you for being our God.

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. – Hebrews 4:16

Simple Prayer for Moms

Father God, Unify My House

What Are You Waiting For?

When you donโ€™t know what to pray

Father, I sit here before you in prayer for the Sister whose heart is heavy before you. Lord Jesus, you are present with her.

May I pray she feels you there.

Father, you see her on her knees wondering where to begin in her speech, yet her words fall short of their uttering.

May I pray she knows you are listening.

Father, her heart is aching. Lord, the pain of her emotion is almost too much to bear. The longing of the emptiness that has overwhelmed her soul is heavy.

Oh, that she sees your hand holding that weight.

Father, you are good. You are ever so faithful in your presence. Your ears are ever attentive to the silent cries of the heart. Your hand is too kind in its holding of sorrows. Oh Father, you are good.

May I pray your daughter will give herself grace to sit in this moment of sorrow. Allow her the time and freedom to cry in your arms. Lord Jesus, I pray you will hold her hand, help her stand when her strength returns within her soul, and step ever so sweetly beside her as the days begin to brighten.

Father God, may we – as united sisters in Christ – not compare our individual sorrows among the family of God. May we be present before you, weak enough to feel your strength and strong enough to embrace another’s weakness.

Sweet Father, thank you for prayer. Thank you for the gift of conversation with you. And thank you for hearing our prayers even when our words fail.

Amen
