Speak Truth

What do I say? How do I respond? Silence. Speak. Smile. Serious. Serve. Sit. Our head is spinning. Something big is going on. Something bigger than we can see. Bigger than our homes, our neighborhoods, and our individual states. This issue is bigger than one country.

This darkness of division is spreading worldwide.

Many of us are asking ourselves what we are supposed to do. Are you with me, looking for the answer to something that you can’t even wrap your head around? Although we understand that there is not one answer* to this world-spread heartache, we desire something to say or do to rectify the disputes that are dividing the closest of relationships.

Here’s a simple suggestion – Speak Truth. To speak truth you need to know truth. So, know truth. Research Historical truth and relish in HIS truth.

Research Historical Truth:

Remember the details of the Civil War. The fight that is raging today is based on pre-war. As if suddenly the death of 1 in 10 American men over the course of four years means nothing. The blood shed for the freedom of others has been disremembered and counted as nothing.

Relish HIS Truth:

Jesus. Jesus Christ the Son of God Almighty conquered sin and the grave for you and for me. Once. That once in a lifetime resurrection from death and the grave freed each of us from the chains of our personal sin of unbelief in Him. It freed us from each sin that bound us within ourselves. And it set us free, completing our perfect design of body, soul and spirit, making us alive in Him. The price of our individual sin and shame has been paid for the blood of One.

When deciphering our words or actions, I pray that we will choose truth.

Regardless of the situation, I pray our direction will lead our audience closer to the truth of Jesus Christ. Whether your audience is your child or perhaps it is on a larger platform, let truth be the heart of love behind your proclamation.

May Colossians 4:6 shed light on our words of truth,

Jaclyn

*Disclaimer: His name is Jesus! Jesus is the one answer to any question. With that said, there are times we need to build up to sharing that answer. Sometimes we need to begin with a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, a simple dialogue. Be careful not to scream the name of Jesus so loudly that no one will listen.

The Holy Spirit Comes With Fruit

Cast Your Words at the Foot of the Cross

Offering of Praise

Good Morning,

O Lord our God, how we smile at the benefits we receive from You day after day. Lord, how greatly You fill us with the love of God, life abundant, and Fruit beyond measure.

Father, may I take this time to simply say Thank You for all You give to us? May I pause in appreciation for this moment in History? May I offer up a sacrifice of praise to Your Name for being true to who You are, the Alpha and Omega?

Creator God, I sit here staring out my window beholding the buds popping up on Your creation. And I smile. Yet, this is something You designed once upon a time. This is a natural occurrence You created to repeat every single spring. This is nothing new. Yet these buds are powerful and brilliant each and every year.

Your Scripture declares how much more You created us and love us and care for us more than this most precious buds!

Yes, I sit here wanting to simply offer to You an offering of praise!

I pray, Lord, You will make evident to me and to my Sisters throughout this day and the week that sits before us what our offering of praise looks like. Again, I smile. What a sweet and precious goal.

Accept my freewill offerings of praise, O Lord, and teach me your rules.” -Psalm 119:108

How individual our offering of praise is in Your eyes, O God!

  • I pray that we will use this time of solitude to work out our individual offering of praise.
  • I pray specifically for the woman praying with me this very moment.
  • I pray you will guide her hands, her feet, her home, her talents, her strength, her weakness, and her personality to put forth a purposed effort to lay an offering of praise at Your feet.
  • Fill her with a verse from Your Word that will lead her way.
  • Purify her, allowing her to see the fruit of her heart as her freewill offering of praise.

Thank you for this sweet thought in prayer today. Guide my day in this mentality as You guide my sweet Friends in their day.

This day we live for You,

Amen

Today’s Prayer List

A Prayer for Peace ~ by Denise Pass

Wisdom is an Attainable Thing. Get Wisdom.

Six Ways to See Your Value

This is not another post to add to your “try to do better/be better” list. This is simply six ways to see your value as it is. It is a fresh perspective that will help you to see the fruit of your presence. Doesn’t that sound nice? To see visible fruit from all the work that we do? This, sweet sister, is the desired outcome of this post.

These six things stem from Proverbs 14. My prayer is that we will see the beautiful fruit (value/worth/wisdom) of our presence in place of the stress that fills our {seemingly} never ending days.

Six Ways to see your value

  • Your hands ~ v. 1
    • There are a thousand things we do with our hands and our sense of touch day in and day out. Will you consider each deed as a building up or a tearing down of your people and/or home.
  •  Your direction ~ v. 2
    • Are we moving forward in our growth as a human? This may be a silly question, but it is worthy of ponder. What if we compared ourselves with ourselves of yesterday, last year, last decade. What growth would we see?
  • Your kiss ~ v. 3
    • How sweet it is! Lips smile. Lips kiss. Oh, how powerful and beautiful and wise are the lips of a wife and a mom! Much can be healed in the power of wise lips.
  • Your work ~ v. 4
    • This verse is debatable pending your season in life. I suggest a fill in the blank. “Where there are no _______, the ________ is clean. but abundant ______ come by the strength of the ________. Maybe you filled in those blanks with “children, house, playdough, and giggle.” Maybe you applied it toward a specific job. Either way, I think stress would scale down if we saw the benefit of the mess rather than the mess itself.
  •  Your truth ~ v. 5
    • Girl, we know there is only one thing to say here. Don’t lie. Don’t lie to your man or to your child or to your list of humans. Big girl panties are required here. 😉
  •  Your knowledge ~ v. 6
    • Do you know things? Good. Use what you know to advance the people around you. We all know different things. I think we simply need to get a handle around our individual knowledge and see how beneficial it is for that two year old, that teenager, that grandchild, that man of yours.

You are Valuable and Worthy and Wise

Just think how wise you will be throughout your day when you begin changing your perspective in the things you are already doing. No longer will you be in autopilot just doing what you do. Now you will be in autopilot with a smile knowing that what you do is valuable and worthy and wise. For you are the wisest of women building her house (v.1).

Allow me to say a quick thank you to the ladies of the Live Group at Eagle Christian Church for engaging in this conversation. XOXO

I hope you all have a beautiful day,

Jaclyn
