Father, I lay this place at your feet

Father, may I lay this place at your feet. Lord, “this place” varies from prayer sister to prayer sister.

I pray you will hear each of our hearts as we lay our place before you in prayer.

My place:

Father, I pray for my country.

I pray specifically for the United States of America. Oh Lord, how I love my country! How I love being an American. I am so thankful for this land, for our foundation, for our constitution, and for the soldiers that have paved the path of this nation in purity and unity. Yes, I do love this country.

I pray that you will wrap your arms around its people. All of us. Lord, how we differ at time. Oh, how we see things so differently. Father, I pray your vision will be the center of our nation’s focus. This is my prayer. I pray that we, your followers, will adapt our sight to your vision and that we will unify together so that your will be done on our land and for your Kingdom.

Father, I am an Idahoan.

Thank you for allowing that statement to be my truth. Lord, I do love my state. My senses are alive with each color you paint across its vast land, with each fragrance that waifs through a rainy day, and with each sound of nature that floods my soul with continuous praise of your handiwork. More than the immense beauty that is called Idaho, I love the feel of this state. I love its depth in You. I love its kindness and humanity. I love how much life is valued and lived by the residents of this great state.

I pray you will help us do our part in keeping your Name present in this state. I pray for unity and continuity as the days and years roll out before us. I pray your love and kindness will continue to bloom and grow in each heart that calls this state home.

Father, I pray for my farm community.

Lord, although there are cows just beyond my back fence, the presence of our farms are dissipating rapidly. The farmers that made Meridian what it is did a good work. Lord, I pray you will bless these hard working, faithful families. Bless their children and their children. I pray they will know how honored they are in our hearts.

I pray, as Meridian transitions from dairy farm to urban city, that our roots of hard working, faithful families will press forward. I pray we will follow in their mighty steps. I pray we will plant seeds of beneficial fruit. I pray we will feed our community with nourishment and fulfillment. Help us to do our part in this great city as the farmers so faithfully laid out for us.

Lastly, Father, I pray for my neighborhood.

Gracious, I love my neighborhood! My neighbors fill my heart with such extreme joy. Although two have moved, they are still such a part of my life. This is the most beautiful example of what neighbors are called to be. Thank you for the friendship that ties this street together. Thank you for the kindness and generosity that flows from house to house. Oh, and thank you that one of my most favorite bf’s lives just around the corner!

I pray as new residents move in that I will greet them with the same showers of love that was bestowed upon me.

Father, these are my places. I lay them at your feet. Thank you for hearing each our hearts. Thank you for listening to the prayers for our individual places. And thank you for answering our prayers in your way and in your timing.

Your place:

Feel free to write “your place” in the comments below or lay them quietly before the Lord. 🙂

Amen
