Prayer for Pain {With a Bonus Snippet of Advice}

Father, there are days when our bodies just hurt. For some, the pain is internal. For others, it is external. But, it hurts.

Lord, you know the names pressed on my heart as I sit with you this morning. You know the frequency of their body pain, and you know the relativity of it.

~ I pray you will comfort each one in their season of hurting.

~ I pray you will touch them with your mighty hand.

~ I pray, Lord Jesus, that you will resurrect the pain into a freedom of life and living.

Oh Lord, you are mighty to heal.

I testify!

Our humanity continues day in and day out. Our humanity has its natural highs and expected lows. Our humanity battles with our exertions and with our chosen intake. All too often, Lord, our bodies have to pay the price for our decisions.

This, my Father, is my season.

I testify.

Whether our pain is coming from illness, natural humanity, or brought on by daily decisions, I pray we will use today’s pain as a reminder to pray … for another.

The beauty of connecting with those around us is that we learn their struggles and their pain. Let’s say, your pain is in your leg and you know of a friend who is battling with her leg too. The next time your leg reminds you that it is irritable, cast a prayer before the throne for that friend who is in her own struggle.

I testify that this kind of prayer settles your own soul and pours healing on your friend. It is a double victory.

I testify 🙂

Dear Father, I pray you will heal, for sure! But, Lord, I pray that we will defend the cause of another as You proceed in your timing and in your way all for your glory.
