Prayer for Covid

Heavenly Father, I pray for Covid. Selah. Lord, the simplicity of that statement seeps into deep roots of emotions. Lord, there are more levels to this virus than ever before. Even now as I sit with you in prayer, I do not know where to start.

Lord, may I begin by praying for those who are struggling with the physical pains of this virus. Lord, I pray for comfort from the struggle. I pray for full healing and recovery. I pray for those caring for family members who are sick with this virus. Protect them from it and strengthen them as they nurse their loved ones back to health.

Father God, I pray for those who are struggling with the emotional pains of this virus. Lord, truly, there are emotional roots of confusion, frustration, uncertainty, fear, anxiety, exhaustion, doubt, anger, irritation, loss, and on and on. Those emotional pains are binding at times. They come and go in waves. They affect our days, our nights, our relationships, our testimony, our kindness, our rational, our decisions, our finances, our reality… Father God, I pray for healing and recovery from these pains. Father, I pray the Sword of the Word will uproot these emotional woes, so we can stand and conquer the fight that is before us.

Lord God, I pray for the Spiritual warfare of this virus. Father, I pray with apprehension here… Lord, there are layers so deep behind the game of this disease. These layers are dark and disrespectful to those who are ill. There are those in position who are using the emotional pangs of Covid as a platform. Oh, Father God, I pray your light will shine on the indecency of this behavior! Remove these game players from their seat in office. Replace them with honesty and character. Rise up a generation that will take a stand for justice and truth.

Lord, I pray for the confrontations that are rising because of this virus. Sweet Father, please open our eyes to what is most important in this struggle of 2020. It is the same importance as any other year, Jesus. Lord, that Your Name will be on our hearts, in our minds, and in our speech. I pray we will remember whose side we are on regardless of our position with the struggle of Covid/2020. Remind us that we are children and siblings within the family of God. Remind us that our battle is not ours to fight. That it is not a fight among ourselves. That this is a battle fought in united prayer and fasting.

Oh, Lord Jesus, that we will stand side by side in declaring the name of Jesus! That we will see and hear and feel Your Victory over darkness, over sin, over the gross display that is dripping throughout our cities. Blind the army of darkness with Your Light! And, Lord, use us as a unified front! Hear our united prayers! Listen to our united worship!

May your name be magnified and lifted high!!

Together, Lord God, we pray for Covid.

Amen & Amen!

How to Pray Deeper for Your Country

Will you consider taking your prayer for your country a little deeper?

That’s a big question, I know. But it is a question God has been pressing on my heart for me. I prayed about it for a long time as I sat surrounded by His creation of trees and streams, of deer and eagles, of whistle-pigs and ants. All creation busy doing what they were created to do.

Today, in each of our countries, we see an absence of purity and completion. It almost feels like we are seeing more darkness than light. It almost feels like the cries from the depth of our soil is churning below our feet. Fights are ensuing on the streets and at our tables. Words are being thrown between strangers and brothers. Nothing is what is was. Everything is being reworked. Something has to be done.

Our nations, our cities, our neighborhoods, our families, our persons need…something.

The obvious answer of what this world needs is the same answer as always, this world needs Jesus. God knew that. That’s why He sent His Son to be the Savior of the world. Jesus knew that. That’s why He humbled himself, took on the likeness of man and become obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. And we know this. That’s why we pray.

We pray because we believe on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that He was and is and is to come. We believe that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. We believe that prayer can rescue our individual souls from an eternity in hell. We believe that prayer can move mountains. We believe and we know that there is almighty power in the spoken name of Jesus Christ! There is power in prayer. We know this.

Will you consider taking your prayer for your country a little deeper?

If yes, will you fast? Truly. Will you?

I will tell you. I told God yes.

Fasting in prayer is a sweet practice that brings forth abundant power. Not because we fasted but because God can do mighty things with a mustard seed. I want to see my country healed. I want to see America rise in strength and confidence. I want my nation to stand tall and proud on its history and constitutional foundation. This is what I want. This is why I will be fasting. Because I believe in prayer and I believe in my country.

There is not a set formula or pattern in which to follow. Simply pick a day that works with your schedule. Give that day to God each week. During that day, when hunger strikes your belly, get on your knees and pray for your country. Pray until that hunger pain is replaced with an urgency to pray more. Repeat this each week on the day you chose to give to God.

For some, we may consider setting aside one meal on that day. For some two. For others three. What matters is the promise and commitment we set between ourselves and our God. What matters is that we pray and that we purpose to pray deeper.

Do you know Jesus as your Savior? Do you know why you want/need to fast? Do you know that God can and will do great things? If yes, will you fast?

Praying for our world,

Jaclyn

4 Areas of Freedom

With the Fourth of July around the corner, I have a few answers to simple freedom questions many of us are facing. Perhaps this will be annoying. Perhaps it will be enlightening. Hopefully, it will increase your personal level of freedom.

With that said, here are a few links that will lead to Four Areas of Freedom.

Search Engine

In case you are unaware, Google has a monopoly on our society. It alters definitions of our American words, it rewords our American history, and it stands for false ideology. I switched from Google when my son was in 3rd grade. He had a project due. He was required to only use Google and/or Wikipedia. We researched the patriotic words he was required to research all to find out the definitions were unlike anything I had ever heard. They were embarrassing to our Forefathers, our Constitution and to our freedom.

I discovered that day that I had choices. We have been using Duck Duck Go ever since.

Social Media

I am struggling with this one. I think many of us are. Yet, many of us “need” social media for our platforms, family connections, and overall contact with friends. Presently, I have/use Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn.

Many of these platforms have sided with political agendas that I simply do not agree with, nor do they have the right to push their agenda on me or to silence me … unless I allow them that right. It is my choice, ultimately. They can only push and silence if I remain.

Many of you know that my prayer posts have been stifled and labeled as “unsafe” for the Facebook community. Since that happened, I have done these things,

  • Hid Pinterest’s presence from my websites “share” options until they return to their pink button rather then their new black button. I do not wish to promote their chosen path.
  • Disabled my Twitter account.
  • Joined Parler (presently the #1 in the Apple app store as of today)
  • Joined AllSocial as a possible Instagram replacement. I like that I can share a clickable link on my posts. I really like that!
  • Praying sincerely about pulling both my business and personal pages from Facebook.

Education

I love learning. I love homework. I love truth. Nerd much? Sure thing. 🙂

What I am grateful for is the choice I have as an adult as to where and how I further my personal education. I choose to read and attend free online classes through Hillsdale College. I started with their Constitution 101 course about 15 years ago. Each year they have offered more and more classes. For free! It’s astounding.

As a previous middle school homeschool mom, I have also utilized their free academy curriculum guide. Teaching middle school to my son was easy and painless as I followed their suggested guidelines. For free!

Speaking of our child’s education, be aware. Yesterday our nation’s school system made public that they will be implementing an ideology our universities have been using for quite some time. I encourage you to research NEA.org to see what our nation’s school district stands for and what they are doing to equip our children Today.

Truth

As we all proclaim, truth is what we stand on. Know truth, walk in its way and live a life upon it. What is the very foundation of truth? The answer is found in the name, power, blood, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I chose to believe and follow Jesus as a young girl. He has never failed me. Truth remains. Despite all things, truth remains as a solid rock on which we stand, build, choose, fight and pray!

My prayer is that one or more of these links will lead to a specific freedom from the surrounding heartache we are facing in our society. We have options. Research your options and then choose to pursue freedom. We have the right to choose to say yes, to say no, to turn off, click off, sign up or delete. We have the choice to watch and listen or to go outside and breath. We have choices. We have the right to pray and to fast, to smile and to sing. We have choices. We have the right to live. To live a life in which we are free. We have choices.

Your Friend,

Jaclyn
