A Prayer for Strength

Sweet Heavenly Father,

Lord, I am on my knees seeking strength from you. I seek not just for myself but for so many friends etched on my heart, for those across our nation, and for Yours around Your beautifully created world.

Father, many of us are tired.

We are drained of our physical strength due to health and due to the fight that is happening, visible and invisible. We stand armed in your strength, then we fall before You weak and in need of Your strength yet again. Thank you for faithfully filling us when we need it. Thank you for holding us when we need that rest. Thank you for understanding our flesh and for giving us Your Spirit.

How spoiled we are by Your love!

Lord God, may I ask for Your Word to be imprinted on our minds right now. Lord, that the Truth, the Life, the Way that each of us need right now in our individual path will be imprinted on our minds. Father, that we will see, that we will hear, that we will breathe in the Word you speak over us right now.

Selah.

Wherever she may be, I pray your daughter will find rest and healing and strength in You and in Your grounded and most faithful Truth this very moment.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our Risen Savior, I pray these things over myself and over the sweet friend that is praying with me through these simple words.

Pour over us Your love, Your presence, Your strength!

1 John 4:8 slips so sweetly into my mind and causes my heart to skip a beat. Thank you, Lord God, for the concrete truth of Your love!

God, in light of 1 John 4:8, I do pray for the person that does not know Your love. I pray the knowledge of who You are will resonate within her. I pray she will grasp the love in which you freely gift her through the life and death of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

I pray her eyes will be opened to the power of Jesus Christ. That she will know and that she will believe that Jesus died on the cross for her sins, that He was buried in the grave, and that Jesus Christ rose again on the third day just as it was proclaimed in Scripture.

Father, I pray salvation upon her heart as she believes in Your Son and as she proclaims with her mouth that You alone are God, the very God who loves her so personally, so faithfully.

Friend, if you are hearing about Jesus for the first time today will you join me here. I would love to hear from you. ❤️

Jaclyn

Hello 😘 I am praying for you.

Hello, It’s been five months since I sat and penned a prayer. Five beautiful months of study and summertime. I’ll tell you a bit about that study soon enough. First let me simply say, I prayed for you today.

This morning, before engaging in a fresh fall that sits before us, I prayed over my email subscriber list. How precious that was! To see names of familiar faces and unknown sisters, childhood friends and next door neighbors, girls I haven’t seen in years and girls I saw yesterday, known and unknown prayer requests – How full is my heart!

I pray God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ will bless you with all spiritual blessings this day. That He will fill you with the fullness of His wisdom and knowledge. That He will walk with you throughout your day in both grace and peace. I pray you will feel the presence of His Holy Spirit in you today. I pray His strength -to overcome whatever you are facing right now- will be the joy on your heart today.

Sweet friend, I pray you will boldly share that prayer on your heart with a friend today. Don’t walk alone in the weight that presses within your soul. There is a promised rest when we allow another person to carry our prayer to God in the name of Jesus Christ.

And that praise that causes your whole face to light up, share that with another today! May the joy upon your heart uplift and strengthen your friend today.

Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him (Peter), saying to him, “O you of little faith, why do you doubt?” And when they (Jesus & Peter) got into the boat, the wind ceased. And those in the boat worshipped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.” –Matthew 14:31-33

Prayers and Praises happen in the midst! Be present. Pray. Praise!

Covering you in prayer,

Jaclyn

Let’s Pray against Fear

My Sweet Lord,

Father, I knew fear was bound to slip into my thought life as I prepare to teach on fear versus Your Love later this week. And it did. My dreams last night shook me to waking tears. My thoughts naturally settle in an old, familiar place as the nausea of things past sit with me in the present.

Father, I do not miss this old, familiar place.

In my fight, my head hurts.

In my fight, Scripture rages.

In my fight, I equally crave sleep all the while I disdain the thought of returning to ill dreams.

Lord, may I just sit here with you? Selah

Father, I knew fear would slip into my thought life. Yet, Lord God, I knew you would too! How faithful you are to restore your Words hidden on my heart. How true you are to capture my thoughts and sing songs of victory over it. How beautiful you are to gift girlfriends who rise up in prayer and understanding.

Father, I do love this new, familiar place.

In your presence, I rest.

In your presence, I find strength and resolve.

In you presence, I joy once again.

Lord, in you I am free.

Father, I pray for those who are battling fear right now. Lord, fear is born in many situations. Yet, it haunts us all the same. Will you, I pray, rehearse truth and purity, goodness and gentleness, Scripture and songs of victory, laughter and love upon her heart and in her thoughts this very moment.

Father, teach her a new cycle from old patterns to newness in You.

In you, may she remember who she is. (1 Cor. 3)

In you, help her fight to win. (Rom. 4)

In you, teach her to stand beside her friends, Sword in hand, claiming victory. (Eph.6)

Lord, shine your face upon her today. (Psalm 31)

Fear. Cast it out, we unite in prayer, in the name of Jesus Christ! Fear. You have no place. No right. No reign.
