Prayer for the President

Franklin Graham’s Day of Prayer for the President

Heavenly Father, United in prayer we come before You on behalf of President Trump.

Lord, being a news nerd sometimes I need to shut off, freshen my heart, settle my mind, then get back to my nightly dates with Tucker Carlson – It’s truth. I even named my dog after him…

God, I’m in that time of refresh, but when I get a glance of the news in coffee shops, airports, or restaurants, it’s exhausting. Lord, the disrespect on the tongues of some is heart-wrenching. Respect for authority matters. When that heart issue lacks, then disrespect for one another wavers leaving self-proclamation to reign in its stead.

Ultimately, God, can I pray the book of Proverbs over our president? That wisdom overwhelm his heart, that knowledge spill from his mouth, and that understanding take residence within his mind. Father God, I pray you steady his path of determination and energy and lead him where you would have our nation go.

I pray You will guide our nation to Freedom. Oh God, freedom has been our stand, our writing in blood, since the forming of our foundation. I pray Freedom reigns. I pray your Name is proclaimed. I pray our flag is held high. I pray our constitution is defended. I pray our Declaration remains. I pray our president is lifted up. I pray our people will humble ourselves and pray.

Lord, hear our united prayers…

3 Steps toward 3 Promises

Two verses offer us three steps that will lead to three promises. I like those odds! Simple and sweet, they are…

By wisdom a house is built.

We know the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Therefore, upon receiving Christ as your Savior, the birth of our wisdom was founded. According to this verse, it is this same wisdom that builds our physical house.

The beauty of Christ’s wisdom fills our hearts and our homes! What a fresh foundation to build on! Sure, we may have repairs that appear too large for us to handle, but God’s wisdom promises to build up our house. Repairs can be fixed, healed, and/or repaired through the wisdom of the Lord pouring out of our determined heart.

This truth, my friend, is not an excuse to sit and wait, but a strength on which to stand, to fight, and to witness.

By understanding it is established.

Where wisdom is a matter of the heart; understanding is a matter of the mind. It is your intellect, your reason. Where wisdom is your foundation; understanding is the wall structure.

Having an established home life comes down to discerning the value of right and wrong for your home. Structure will be seen by way of the decisions you make based on convictions brought by the Holy Spirit.

Pray for convictions for your family. Please do not eagerly follow someone else’s family convictions! You belong to God. Your family matters to God! Christ has built your home upon wisdom. He has given you the gift of the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Think about that. You, my friend, have the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit in you, with you. He promises to guide you.  Again, not an excuse to sit, but a confidence in which to continue with established structure.

By knowledge the rooms are filled.

Knowledge grows through observation and care. According to the precious Word of God, knowledge equals rooms full of beautiful treasures. Yes, Please! This demands us to ask, Are we exercising our efforts of gaining knowledge within our home?

We should Take a tour of the interior of your home. Right!? Not in overloaded comparison to Pinterest, Lord, help us, but on the gifts from above; your marriage, your child(ren), your love, peace, safety, security, happiness.

Evaluate the atmosphere of your home. Pray for knowledge and attain it by opening your eyes. Recognize the disturbance and seek wisdom from above on how to repair the situation.

  • Do we feel the strength and protection we desire?
  • Are our people happy when they are at home?
  • Do our people find joy within the walls of your home?
  • Is our home a place of reconnection after a long day apart?

God promises wisdom, understanding and knowledge to each of His Children. Then he promises blessings upon our homes when we accept his free gifts. Give him room to work. Give him time to move.

By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.”

Weakness (5/15/19)

Lord, sometimes technology is so difficult for me and sometimes you allow me to use technology to deepen relationships within your kingdom.

Lord, I pray, you will help me conquer my issues with technology, even in the littlest matters. Make me aware of the minute solutions needed to accomplish the smallest deeds in this world that confuses me so dearly.

And, lord, I pray, as I learn the ‘bits by bits’ of electronics, souls will get stronger, hearts will soften, salvation will shine bright, and love for you will be the ever abundant result of my weakness in your Hands!

Lord, I pray we will all identify our weakness and freely place them in your hands. If we don’t, all we will do is chuck stones of judgment upon ourselves. That’s dumb. Help us, Lord, not be dumb! 😉
