But God.

I am just a woman.

Nothing more.

Nothing less.

I was born.

I will die.

But.

I am given the mind of Christ.

I am filled with the Holy Spirit.

I am able to understand His written Word.

I am forever and always a daughter of the King of kings.

These truths are equally my truths and YOUR truths.

Don’t these truths blow you away?!

God.

Oh, He is the very creator of Time!

The very designer of wisdom!

The very giver of Life!

The very One who pours out His kindness and love on you.

The very One who holds your heart in His hands.

These truths are equally Eternal and Present.

Don’t these truths open your eyes to all things HIM?!

Today.

Rest in His presence. (Psalm 100:2)

Exercise His power. (Romans 1:16; 2 Corinthians 12:9)

See His purpose in your day. (Ephesians 2:10)

Trust in His providential wisdom. (Colossians 3:16)

XOXO

***Philippians 2:1-11. Such a beautiful passage to cling to today. Write it out and pin it up on your wall/fridge/mirror/headboard. Read it. See its truth. Claim it. And walk in it today!

*** 1 Corinthians 2:5, 13b “So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God…But we have the mind of Christ.”

Much love and prayers,

Jaclyn

Lord, How Wise She Is!

Simple Prayer for Moms

In Awe of God

How I long to understand your voice. Lord, I hear it, but to understand the depth of your message is sometimes too grand to comprehend. What you ask me to do is frightfully huge.

Spirit, here I am.

How brilliant are your written words made available for my eyes to see. Lord, I see them, but to grasp them is too deep for my mind to attain. What you are saying is dynamically unfathomable.

Spirit, speak.

How lovingly is the family you created for me. Lord, all around me are your children to walk beside, but to trust them is too worrisome for my scars to overcome. Where you are drawing my feet to tread is uncomfortably new.

Spirit, your servant hears.

How great is your love for me. Lord, I understand its depth. I read its truth. I trust its faithfulness. Help me to see all things as well as I see your love. How your love has carried me all my days is magically indescribable.

Spirit, you are faithful.

How I look back at my past challenges and scars with a smile. Lord, I see your fingerprints in all my victories. Open my eyes to see your presence in my reality today. Who you desire me to be is designed by you and for your glory. This truth settles my heart with a confidence to hear, to see, to step, and to be.

Spirit, how I love you.

Praise on a Monday Morning

Happy Monday, God

One time, I learned to trust His voice

Of Prayer and Praise

Dear Father, may I seek your face this very moment. May I boldly approach your throne. Cast down, knees bent. Prostrate before you now.

Not my will, Sweet Father, not my own.

May I whisper a name, a prayer upon my heart. May I call out a situation, a pressed moment in time. Written out, laid down. Open before you now.

Not my words, Sweet Father, not my own.

Jesus, you walked before me. Jesus, you set the course. Our Father who art in Heaven, proclaimed from your voice. Heard by your Father. Connected Three in One.

Sweet Jesus, cause me to follow.

You sought God’s face before the crowds. You cried to God in the quiet of the night. High or low, for you or for others. Conversation with God sat ready upon your tongue.

Sweet Jesus, allow me to follow.

As a friend, a wife, a mom. As a writer and for those with whom I write. As a daughter, a loved one, Yours. Boldly, I have entrance because of Jesus who bled and rose again.

Thank you, Oh Jesus, I thank you.

Who am I to deserve such access? I am chosen. I am forgiven. I am clothed in Righteousness. You first loved me; therefore, I have access always to your throne.

Bless you, Oh my God, bless Your Holy Name!
