Do it. 4/17/19

Oh, Father, I think of my circle of friends. I think of the things on our Do It list. I think of the smiles that our list brings to our hearts, and I think of the dread that encircles our head like a ravaging beast.

Hug a child, love a husband, make a video, shoot a podcast, complete physical therapy, help the elderly, take a step, sit down and wait.

Lord, I have two lists. One declares the joys of my everyday. The other is blank. Well, there are a few doodles and things. But, void of any symbolism of accomplishment. Just doodles.

I pray for the woman who has the same two lists. The one that fills our day (and sometimes stresses us out) and the one void of Next Steps.

Help, I pray, our eyes to see the joys in our mundane while we watch your Hand move mountains!!!

Accept it. Lord, these words sit steadily on my heart. After a week of pondering ‘Wait vs wait,’ I sit before you under a verbal blanket of Acceptance. God, I’m not certain how easy it is to accept “It.”

I pray for the heart that is under this blanket of acceptance. Questions of the unknown still stifling her air, thoughts still jumping from her dream to reality. I pray you will give your desire to her heart. I pray she will see the reality before her as a Dream, a dream in which she can Shine your Love to the world around her!

Lord, I don’t need to ask if you are with us, for you are ever faithful, ever present, ever YOU!

Can You Invert?

Have you ever had a goal list so grand you laughed at its probability of accomplishment? Then a pastor dares to add to it. In the hardest way. Oh gracious. These men of God, I tell you what! This pastor dared to challenge an “Inversion upon our week.” Then he prayed inversion over our Monday, and our Tuesday and all the way to our Friday. I was standing there in the crowd feeling a new mentality wash over my week’s goals.

Invert. Read more
